IRIS VAN HERPEN-
GAIA GOWN
Inspired by Dutch fashion designer Iris Van Herpen's SS21 show, "Roots of Rebirth," I attempted to replicate one of the core pieces from the line up. "The Gaia Gown," posed a significant challenge and pushed me to expand my knowledge of digital fashion with its intricate embroidery patterns and delicate material selection.

MATERIAL BREAKDOWN
SILK CHIFFON
Light gold thread embroidery overlaid atop a sheer mesh base, giving the illusion that the element is placed over bare skin.
Comprised of glass mechanical arms, gold metallic base structures, and rubbery, flesh-tone decorative fins.
Semi-sheer, nude chiffon used for the flowing, floor-length sleeves and pleated skirt.
HEADPIECE
Modeled in Maya & Textured using VRay Materials
